Mirae Asset says tokenisation is new distribution channel, needs global on-chain links
Mirae Asset said it sees tokenisation of financial products as a new channel for distributing existing assets and laid out a strategy to expand from exchange-traded funds to on-chain markets. An executive said liquidity and distribution, product structure and regulation were harder challenges than the technology. He said tokenised products need an ecosystem linking agents, custodians, market makers and trading platforms, and argued Korea should develop practical products, institutional-grade infrastructure and global connectivity.

Nexthrus and Fasset to cooperate on stablecoin payment, settlement infrastructure
Nexthrus said it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Dubai-based digital finance firm Fasset to cooperate on stablecoin-based financial infrastructure at Korea Blockchain Week (KBW 2026) on Sept. 30. The companies will review cooperation on linking payment infrastructure, stablecoin settlement and co-branded digital financial products. They will pursue a joint proof of concept linking Nexthrus’ payments with Fasset’s fiat-to-crypto conversion infrastructure and form a quarterly task force to discuss AED- and won-linked stablecoin infrastructure.

Dunamu to expand beyond exchange into onchain finance infrastructure, linking Korea and global markets
Dunamu plans to expand its business beyond a digital asset exchange into onchain financial infrastructure that financial firms such as banks, brokerages and payment companies can use. Chief Executive Oh Kyung-seok said at Korea Blockchain Week 2026 that blockchain is evolving into infrastructure used by traditional finance. He said Korea needs accessibility, connectivity and exportability to compete globally, and that Dunamu aims to link Korea to global onchain finance.
