Attack surface management and real-time detection become more important for ransomware response
SK Shieldus published a KARA report analysing global ransomware trends and key cases in the first half of 2026. It said key intrusion routes are increasingly focused on exploiting corporate security vulnerabilities or stolen accounts rather than malware itself. The report put global ransomware 피해 at 4,744 cases and said second-quarter damage rose about 48 percent from a year earlier. It stressed attack surface management and MDR-based real-time detection and response.

Google cuts Google Play fees in South Korea to as low as 10 percent, expands in-app and external payments
Google will expand payment options for Google Play developers in South Korea and cut service fees to as low as 10 percent. Developers can offer alternative payment systems or link users to external websites, subject to Google safety requirements. A 10 percent fee applies to the first $1 million of annual revenue generated on Google Play and to auto-renewing subscriptions. The changes take effect in South Korea on Dec. 31.

Google briefs Bamwit on Google Play fee-cut plan during U.S. visit
Google headquarters executives briefed the South Korean government on plans to cut payment fees on the Google Play app market. The Broadcasting Media and Communications Commission said Wilson White, Google\'s global head of public policy, and Kara Bailey, vice president for Android ecosystem strategy, met chair Kim Jong-cheol on April 1 in Gwacheon. Google explained global policy changes announced in March and discussed timing for domestic application.
