Google founder urges stronger coding models as DeepMind forms dedicated coding AI team
Google DeepMind has formed a dedicated team to improve its AI coding models, The Information reported, citing three people familiar with internal matters. Researchers have assessed Anthropic\'s coding tools as ahead of Google\'s Gemini model in code-writing ability. The team is led by research engineer Sebastian Borgeaud and focuses on complex, time-consuming coding tasks. Google co-founder Sergey Brin and DeepMind CTO Koray Kavukcuoglu are also involved.
