Thinking Machines unveils research preview of real-time multimodal AI interaction model
Thinking Machines, an AI startup founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, on May 11 unveiled a research preview of its “Interaction Model,” designed for real-time interaction. The company said current AI models operate in turn-based mode and cannot absorb new information while generating responses. It said the new model uses multi-stream, micro-turn methods to process audio, video and text together and respond in real time.
