Jang Kwang-woon (장광운), security strategy adviser at Microsoft Korea, said security teams should shift from handling tasks to being accountable for outcomes to counter AI-driven automated attacks. He said security workloads have exceeded what humans can manage and that adding staff or deploying isolated AI agents will not solve the problem. He pointed to Microsoft’s \"Project Perception\" as a process that consolidates alerts and uses agents and human approvals to respond.

S2W upgrades ontology-based decision-making OS SAIP, expands into non-security business
Data intelligence company S2W said on Tuesday it has upgraded key functions of its ontology-based decision-making operating system, SAIP, and is accelerating expansion into non-security businesses. The company plans to broaden its market focus beyond manufacturing, distribution and finance to mission-critical sectors such as defence, energy and telecommunications. S2W also took part in the Microsoft Industry Summit in Seoul to present the upgraded features and industry use cases.

Korea Microsoft to hold Industry Summit on Sept. 30
Korea Microsoft will hold the Microsoft Industry Summit on Sept. 30 at the COEX Grand Ballroom in Seoul to share industry-specific AI transformation strategies and on-the-ground cases. The company will present AI use cases and Frontier Transformation 방향 across finance, retail, manufacturing, healthcare and education. It will also run technology sessions featuring customer cases using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry and Azure. Korean firms including SC First Bank, Shinhan units and KB Kookmin Bank will present.
