IITP personal data leak traced to external port opened during security work
A security incident at the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) led to the leak of personal data of users of five systems it operates, it said. IITP said the incident occurred after an external access port was left open for about 26 days during work to strengthen security on a system managing access logs. Some data were leaked and deleted, and IITP is investigating the scope and restoring deleted data.
