Altman\'s World to expand human verification with Tinder, Zoom and DocuSign integrations
World, an identity verification project involving Sam Altman, plans to expand the use of its human verification technology beyond Tinder to dating apps, concert ticketing, enterprise services and email. It will roll out ticketing tools aimed at curbing scalpers using automated bots and link with systems such as Ticketmaster and Eventbrite. World also plans integrations with Zoom and DocuSign, alongside new options including agent delegation and tiered verification using Orb scans, NFC IDs and selfies.

SKT, Yuhan-Kimberly join hands to restore Andong wildfire damage
SK Telecom said it held a tree-planting event with Yuhan-Kimberly on April 4 in Pungcheon-myeon, Andong, to create a “Forest of Peace” in areas damaged by wildfires. About 100 employees and family members took part and planted 1,500 trees, including rare species designated by the Korea Forest Service. The companies plan to plant 10,000 trees over five years through 2030 and use AI and drones to support restoration planning.

Mobile phone activation facial authentication rollout delayed, alternative options under review
South Korea has delayed the full rollout of a policy requiring facial authentication when activating mobile phones, reflecting concerns over personal data leaks and other issues. The Ministry of Science and ICT said on March 20 it will extend the pilot period for verifying identity using facial recognition to June 30. The procedure was introduced in December as part of anti-voice phishing measures, but drew recommendations from the National Human Rights Commission and requests for alternatives.
