IP68 water resistance is no exception: Shower steam can cut smartphone lifespan
Smartphones rated IP67 or IP68 can still be vulnerable to hot shower steam and heat, requiring caution. IP ratings indicate resistance to liquid water and dust under controlled test conditions, but high temperature and humidity in bathrooms can cause condensation that may seep into ports, speakers, buttons and seals. Repeated exposure can weaken internal adhesives and waterproof sealing. Apple and Google advise against using iPhones and Pixel phones in showers or saunas.

Samsung has unveiled its new budget smartphone, the Galaxy A27 5G, featuring a punch-hole Infinity-O display and expanded AI functions. The starting price is set at $350, up $50 from the previous model. It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and offers 6GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage, expandable via microSD. The phone supports 6 Android OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates, while its water and dust rating drops to IP64.

Musinsa, Oakley run AI glasses pop-up for next-generation eyewear experience
Consumers can try on AI glasses jointly developed by Oakley and Meta in an offline setting. Musinsa said on Thursday it will run an \"Oakley Meta\" pop-up store at Musinsa Store Seongsu in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong from June 4 to 18. The pop-up is designed to offer an in-person experience of products previously available only online through Musinsa Drop, including the Vanguard sports lineup and the HSTN everyday lineup.
