Dell unveils two rugged laptops for industrial sites rated IP66 and 1.8-metre drop
Dell Technologies on Oct. 19 introduced two new rugged laptops for industrial and public safety sites, the Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14, and said both are already on sale this month. Both use Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with up to 50 TOPS NPU performance. The 13-inch full-rugged model is rated IP66 and tested for 1.8-metre drops, while the 14-inch semi-rugged model is rated IP53 and tested for 0.91-metre drops.

Dell unveils PowerEdge XR9700 to support cloud RAN and AI in harsh edge environments
Dell Technologies on Feb. 26 unveiled the Dell PowerEdge XR9700, a fully sealed rugged server using closed-loop liquid cooling for cloud RAN and edge AI workloads. The company said it is designed to operate in exposed outdoor locations such as utility poles, rooftops and building exteriors without external protective equipment. Dell said the IP66-rated enclosure enables high-performance computing in space- and power-constrained edge sites.

Xiaomi Poco M8 5G launches in South Korea with 5,520 mAh battery
Xiaomi Korea said it will release the Poco M8 5G in South Korea on Jan. 26. The handset weighs 178 grams and has a 5,520 mAh battery in a 7.35 mm body, with IP66 water and dust resistance. It uses Qualcomm\'s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and supports AI features, 45W fast charging and RAM expansion up to 16GB. The phone has a 6.77-inch Flow AMOLED display, dual speakers, a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 20-megapixel front camera. A first-purchase gift runs from Jan. 26 to Feb. 8.
