Hancom InSpace completes first contact with hyperspectral satellite Sejong 3
Hancom InSpace said it successfully established ground-station communications with Sejong 3, which it described as South Korea\'s first privately developed hyperspectral satellite. The satellite was launched on March 30 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Hancom InSpace said initial contact confirmed the satellite body and system status were normal. It plans cluster operations with existing Sejong-series satellites and an AI platform to expand tailored data services.

Hancom InSpace to launch private hyperspectral satellite Sejong 3 on March 29
Hancom InSpace will launch Sejong 3, South Korea\'s first privately operated hyperspectral satellite, on March 29 local time aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in the United States. The 6U-class satellite will operate in low Earth orbit at 500 to 600 km altitude and carry a hyperspectral sensor with 442 wavelength bands. The company plans to expand its satellite data business and strengthen its observation system by integrating constellation operations.
