BNB moves closer amid altcoin ETF expansion as Grayscale and VanEck update U.S. S-1 filings

Grayscale and VanEck have filed amended registration statements in the United States to launch a spot Binance Coin (BNB) exchange-traded fund. The updated S-1 filings are seen as a step toward potential approval, with the SEC review process in focus. BNB, the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market value at $87.4 billion, is not yet in the U.S. spot altcoin ETF lineup. Inflows to newly launched altcoin ETFs have varied widely.

Coinbase to handle Hyperliquid USDC reserves, acquires USDH brand assets

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase will become the official deployer of reserves for the stablecoin USDC on the Hyperliquid network and has acquired the USDH brand assets from Native Market. The deal will reorganise Hyperliquid’s stablecoin liquidity around a single USDC token, making USDC the platform’s only aligned quote asset. USDH will be phased down, with holders able to swap to USDC or redeem for fiat during a transition period.
