Silicon Valley VC backs 2-year education institute as alternative to college, with big tech partners
Andreessen Horowitz will invest $35 million in Horowitz Andersen Academy, a two-year education institute planned for San Francisco, the Wall Street Journal reported. The unaccredited program targets students aged 16 to 22 and will be run by an independent entity led by Udemy co-founder Gagan Biyani. Anthropic, Google, Meta Platforms, Nvidia and OpenAI will join as founding partners, providing software, computing resources and office space for classes.
