Kakao Friends collaborates with \'Harry Potter\', unveils Choonsik magic school goods
Kakao Friends is launching 16 types of Choonsik goods in collaboration with \'Harry Potter\'. Kakao said on Oct. 15 it will sell the \'Kakao Friends X Harry Potter\' collaboration items from Oct. 16 through the online Kakao Friends Shop, KakaoTalk Gift, Musinsa and offline stores nationwide. The concept is \'Welcome to Hogwarts Choonsik\', featuring characters assigned to four dormitories and various goods and in-store spaces.

Paramount+ and HBO Max complete 147.4 trillion won mega-merger, Skydance launches
Skydance plans to combine HBO Max, Paramount+ and Discovery+ into a single streaming service after completing its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery. The newly launched company is named Skydance and said it will merge the services over time, without disclosing a schedule, name or pricing. CEO David Ellison has pushed the idea and stressed HBO will operate independently. The deal brings major studios, networks and key intellectual property under one company.

Shinsegae to invest $1 billion in Warner Bros acquisition
Shinsegae Property will invest $1 billion in the acquisition of Warner Bros, the company said on Monday, joining as an investor in a deal being pursued by Paramount. Shinsegae Group said it aims to use Hollywood content as a new growth engine and expand its portfolio into global content. It also plans to use intellectual property at offline sites, explore cooperation with HBO Max and Paramount Plus, and pursue joint content production over the long term.
