Radio policy society says spectrum fees should factor in earnings and capex
A proposal called for fees for assigning and re-assigning radio spectrum to be designed to take account of operators\' earnings and capital investment as the AI and 6G era approaches. The Korea Radio Policy Society held an academic conference on Aug. 25 on the direction of radio policy amid AI expansion. Speakers discussed global trends in AI infrastructure and spectrum policy and warned that spectrum fees set too low or too high could distort demand, deter competition or raise consumer prices.

Hancom Innostream, Hallym University cooperate to train AI talent, run Nvidia DLI certified program
Hancom Innostream, a unit of Hancom, signed an agreement with Hallym University to cooperate on training AI and digital innovation talent, it said on Tuesday. The two sides plan to begin with short-term training and company-issue-based projects and expand cooperation to long-term programmes and joint curriculum development. They will jointly run Nvidia DLI Fundamentals of Deep Learning global certification training in August.

South Korea science ministry launches \'K-Moonshot\' AI humanoid development
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on May 18 it held a launch meeting at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology for a project to advance core technology for AI humanoids. The 2026-2030 project, a key part of the AI-based national programme \'K-Moonshot\', will invest 50.4 billion won to secure a Korean AI humanoid platform integrating intelligence and physical capability. KIST will lead, with companies, universities and a hospital participating.
