NHN Cloud starts up \'FactoryX Seoul\' AI data centre
NHN Cloud is launching a scale-driven push in the AI infrastructure market with its \'NHN FactoryX Seoul\' data centre, built with 7,656 Nvidia B200 GPUs. The company is highlighting its ability to cluster thousands of GPUs into a single computing environment and to provide stable operations through direct liquid cooling and separate network and security equipment. It said its 510-node cluster ranked 20th in the TOP500 list based on an HPL benchmark.

Chipmakers\' big two capacity expansion boosts equipment orders
South Korea’s two leading chipmakers are announcing new investments that are expected to drive equipment demand. SK Hynix plans a 19 trillion won advanced packaging facility in Cheongju, targeting completion in 2027. Samsung Electronics is expanding 1c DRAM production at its Pyeongtaek P4 plant and aims to secure more than 140K capacity by end-2026. Equipment firms such as Jusung and Shinsung E&G have confirmed orders, while brokerages expect memory capex to rise in 2026.

Shinsung E&G supplies 35 HPL units to semiconductor sites
Shinsung E&G said it supplied 35 units of its self-developed HPL (High Performance Lift) construction equipment to semiconductor sites including Samsung Electronics\' Pyeongtaek campus and SK Hynix in Cheongju. The company said HPL reduces worker risk and shortens construction time by 20 percent. It also introduced SMR and SML automation solutions. An executive said engineering capabilities that maximise efficiency while ensuring safety are essential.
