KT expands 5G slicing to upgrade enterprise and public networks
KT is expanding 5G specialised services for companies and public institutions, launching a leased \"5G work-network\" device to reduce upfront terminal costs and pushing to apply application-based network slicing to enterprise-only 5G within the year. It also outlined plans to secure next-generation network technologies aligned with the spread of AI and quantum computing, including AI-RAN, AI edge, post-quantum cryptography and AI autonomous security.

Korea ministry says K-AI models spread to public, broadcasting and semiconductor sites
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Sunday that domestic artificial intelligence models are expanding into broadcast content production, public administration and domestic semiconductor infrastructure. NC AI will work with MBC to introduce multimodal AI in post-production. Upstage was selected as the first supplier of a public-sector generative AI service. KT is building a generative AI platform for Gyeonggi Province. SK Telecom and Rebellions ran a SKT model on servers using Rebellions\' AI chips.

TTA grants first AI trust certification to Gyeonggi Province government\'s AI governance system
The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said on Thursday it granted AI trust certification (CAT) to the artificial intelligence governance system built by the Gyeonggi Provincial Government. It said the certification is the first in South Korea under its CAT scheme in the AI governance category. TTA applied ISO/IEC 38507:2022, an international standard on organisational AI adoption and use, as its review criteria.
