Ground raises $3.6 million to offer API for onchain yield products

Ground, a startup founded by former Superstate co-founder Reid Cumming, has closed a $3.6 million pre-seed funding round. The company provides a platform that lets fintech firms and asset managers access onchain yield products through an API. The round was co-led by Bain Capital Crypto and ParaFi, with participation from Nascent, Robot Ventures, Chapter One and CoinFund Ventures. Ground supports protocols including Aave, Morpho, Maple and Kamino.

Chinese prominent miner says bitcoin bottom will be in Oct-Dec 2026, above $40,000

A prominent Chinese bitcoin miner, Jiang Zhuoer (江卓爾), forecast the current bitcoin bear market will bottom around October to December 2026, with prices at about $42,000 to $44,000. He cited Strategy’s mNAV, now at 0.72 and near a prior-cycle low, while arguing mNAV tends to bottom earlier than bitcoin’s price. Crypto market maker Wintermute has said it is too early to confirm a bottom and sees limited optimistic signals in fund flows.

China AI server chip market sees domestic share near 80 percent, narrowing Nvidia\'s footing

Domestic chip suppliers led by Huawei and Cambricon are expected to account for close to 80 percent of China’s AI server chip market this year, TrendForce forecast. Foreign suppliers including Nvidia and AMD are seen falling to 21 percent market share in 2026 from 34 percent last year, while Chinese suppliers rise to 56 percent. Custom chips designed by Chinese internet firms are also growing, driven by geopolitical uncertainty and China’s push for tech self-reliance.
