Google unveils Gemini 3.5 voice AI that understands 85 languages, handles interruptions
Google has overhauled its voice recognition AI lineup, unveiling Gemini 3.5 Live for its Gemini Live conversational assistant, along with Gemini 3.5 Live Experimental for developers and Gemini 3.5 Transcribe for speech-to-text. Reports said Gemini 3.5 Live improves handling of user interruptions and adds real-time visual processing and mixed-language recognition. Google said Transcribe cuts processing time by about 70 percent and lowers real-time error rates to 5.5 percent, working across 85 languages.

Samsung unveils Galaxy Z8 foldables, including first Fold8 Ultra
Samsung Electronics unveiled three new foldable smartphones - the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra and Flip8 - at its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in London. The company introduced a new display ratio for the Fold8 and launched its first ultra-premium foldable model. It also expanded agentic AI features across its foldables and announced new Galaxy Watch9 models and Intelligent Eyewear smart glasses. The Z8 series will roll out globally from Aug. 7.

Samsung Electronics unveiled its Galaxy Z 8 foldable lineup, adding an Ultra model to target the premium foldable phone market and strengthen leadership with agentic AI. The company introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8 at its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in London. It highlighted new displays, cameras and charging features, along with durability improvements and expanded on-device security and privacy tools.
