U.S. Army offers 4-day leave tied to GTA6 release to boost reenlistment
The U.S. Army has offered special leave tied to the release of the popular game GTA6 as an incentive for soldiers to reenlist. The 9th Engineer Battalion is promoting a “GTA6 4-day pass” for non-commissioned officers who sign reenlistment contracts between Aug. 1 and Nov. 14, 2026. Eligible soldiers can take four days of leave starting on the game’s scheduled release date of Nov. 19.

Sony says it has secured memory to meet PS5 sales target, maintains profitability plan
Sony said it has secured the parts it needs to meet its PlayStation 5 sales target for 2026 even as memory prices surge on expanding AI demand. It dismissed concerns that higher memory costs could disrupt console supply and said it will continue stable hardware supply ahead of major year-end releases. Sony also said there is no change to its 2026 hardware profitability plan and it will keep it at the same level as in 2025.
