GLN International links with SeoulPay, expands QR payment merchants to 1.5 million
GLN International, a unit of Hana Bank, will link with SeoulPay to expand the number of domestic QR payment merchants available to foreign tourists visiting South Korea to about 1.5 million. GLN said it partnered with Coocon, the operator of SeoulPay, adding 500,000 small-business merchants in Seoul to its QR payment network. The service area will expand to Seoul alley commercial districts including Myeongdong and Seongsu.

Hana Bank expands cooperation in Vietnam, targets infrastructure finance and QR payments
Hana Bank said it signed a memorandum of understanding in Hanoi to strengthen cooperation on infrastructure projects in Vietnam and overseas. The agreement, involving Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development and Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation, aims to pursue joint projects in infrastructure, energy and urban development. Hana Bank also launched a cross-border QR payment service with its unit GLN, NAPAS and BIDV, enabling QR payments at major tourist destinations in Vietnam.
