Anthropic accelerates enterprise AI push with business-focused pricing
Anthropic, which develops the AI chatbot Claude, is accelerating a strategy focused on the enterprise market to differentiate itself from OpenAI and Google. It has boosted annualised revenue by concentrating on selling APIs that plug into corporate workflows and on its coding AI, Claude Code. Annualised revenue rose from $100 million in January 2024 to $1 billion in January 2025 and $14 billion in January 2026. Its pricing is also geared toward businesses and developers.

Grafana Labs pursues new funding on open-source observability bet
Grafana Labs, the startup commercialising the open-source observability platform Grafana, is pushing to raise new investment. GIC is expected to lead the round, which could raise the company’s valuation to $9.0 billion from $6.6 billion, up 36% from about six months ago. The company’s annual recurring revenue rose to more than $400 million in September from $250 million as of August 2024. Grafana Labs is adding AI features and tools such as k6 as monitoring complexity grows.

Anthropic raises $30 billion at $380 billion valuation
Anthropic has raised $30 billion in a funding round valuing the company at $380 billion, CNBC reported on Wednesday. It was the second-largest private company funding round on record after OpenAI raised $40 billion last year under SoftBank’s lead. Coatue and Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC led the round, with D.E. Shaw Ventures and other investors participating. Microsoft and Nvidia plan investments of up to $5 billion and $10 billion, respectively.
