Samsung Electronics selected for free TV programme for disabled for seventh straight year
Samsung Electronics said on Wednesday it has been selected for a seventh straight year as a supplier for the Broadcasting and Media Communications Commission\'s programme to provide free TVs for the visually and hearing impaired. The Korea Communications Agency\'s Viewer Media Foundation will choose recipients by priority. Samsung will supply 35,000 43-inch full HD smart TVs from late this month through year-end. Low-income disabled users receive them free, while others pay 100,000 won.

Korea broadcast media telecoms commission to distribute 35,000 TVs for visually and hearing impaired
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission said it will distribute 35,000 customised TVs for visually and hearing impaired people this year and began taking applications on May 26. Low-income recipients, including basic livelihood security beneficiaries and near-poor households, can receive the sets for free. Other eligible applicants must pay 100,000 won. Applications can be made in person at local community centres or online via the Audience Media Foundation website.
