Franklin Templeton registers two hybrid ETFs that reinvest stock dividends into bitcoin

Franklin Templeton has completed U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission registration for two hybrid exchange-traded funds that let retail investors gain indirect exposure to bitcoin without buying cryptocurrency directly. The Nasdaq-listed Franklin US Equity Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF and Franklin US Innovation Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF automatically reinvest cash flows from U.S. stock holdings into bitcoin. They differ in holdings focus and fees. The products include rules to manage bitcoin volatility and rebalance allocations.

Solana, Tether, XRP Ledger lead new wave in asset tokenisation, reshaping RWA market

Money and user flows in the real-world asset tokenisation market are shifting from Ethereum to other blockchains, a joint report showed. Solana attracted the largest inflows into tokenised funds, while Stellar ranked second and XRP Ledger saw limited inflows. In tokenised stocks, liquidity moved from Ethereum to BNB Chain and Solana. Solana led user growth. In stablecoins, Paxos led issuance growth, while Tether dominated new addresses, mainly on BNB Chain.

BNY, Citadel Securities complete trade using tokenised U.S. Treasuries to cut collateral transfer time

BNY and trading firm Citadel Securities have completed a transaction using tokenised U.S. Treasuries, CoinDesk reported. The trade was intended to show that tokenised Treasuries can be used immediately as collateral for borrowing after settlement. Banks and trading firms often borrow short-term funds using Treasuries as collateral, but moving securities between accounts and settlement systems takes time and ties up assets. BNY plans to expand digital cash and tokenised deposit functions and extend operating hours for certain settlement systems.
