MSIT holds hearing on 2027 government R&D investment direction
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held a public hearing on Feb. 25 in Seoul to prepare a draft of the 2027 national research and development investment direction and standards. The annual plan sets priority fields and directions for the following year\'s government R&D budget and serves as guidance for budget allocation and adjustment. The hearing was held both online and offline. The ministry will refine the draft and notify relevant bodies by March 15.

S Korea parliament passes bill scrapping pre-feasibility study for state R&D projects
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said parliament passed amendments to the National Finance Act and the Framework Act on Science and Technology to abolish pre-feasibility studies for national R&D projects and shift to a tailored investment and management system.
