NSR to hold briefing on commercialisation-ready cybersecurity technologies on Aug 12
The National Security Research Institute (NSR) will hold its NSR Connect U 2026 briefing on Aug. 12 from 1:30 p.m. at COEX in Seoul. The event is aimed at promoting the transfer and commercialisation of NSR’s cybersecurity technologies and linking research outcomes with industry demand. The Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Korea Science & Technology Holdings and Seoul Technopark will participate. NSR will present seven technologies, including virtual-network cyber training systems and Android app analysis.

Nintendo unveils \'Yoshi and the Mysterious Book\' with adventure elements and visual overhaul
Nintendo is introducing a new Yoshi title, \'Yoshi and the Mysterious Book\', that keeps the series’ accessibility while adding adventure elements and updated graphics. The game shifts from a simple side-scrolling platform format to an exploration- and puzzle-focused adventure, with a watercolor, storybook visual style. Gameplay retains signature moves and adds a tail-flick mechanic. It also adopts a non-linear progression structure and customization. The game is on pre-order for Switch 2 and is due out on May 21.

Toyota unveils \'Fluorite\' game engine for vehicles
Toyota has unveiled its own game engine, Fluorite, to improve digital interfaces inside vehicles, the Verge reported on Feb. 9. Toyota Connected North America senior engineer Jamie Kuber presented the engine at the FOSDEM 2026 conference. Fluorite was developed to provide in-car 3D tutorials, environment mapping and natural interfaces. Toyota said the console-class engine integrates with the Flutter SDK and performs strongly on low-spec and embedded hardware. The engine is in an early development stage.
