KRX to pitch South Korea\'s capital market in New York, cooperate with NYSE on trading hours and T+1
Korea Exchange Chairman Eunbo Jeong (정은보) will travel to New York to market South Korea\'s capital markets to global institutional investors. KRX will hold a global roadshow in New York on Sept. 3 for asset managers, hedge funds and other institutions. It plans to explain capital-market system improvements and steps to boost foreign investor access. KRX will also sign an MOU with the New York Stock Exchange on market operations and infrastructure cooperation, including longer trading hours and T+1 settlement.

Kosdaq at 30: government and exchange to weed out troubled firms and grow innovators
Discussion is gathering pace on restructuring South Korea’s Kosdaq market as it marks its 30th anniversary. The government and Korea Exchange plan to restore trust by removing troubled firms, supporting listings of innovative companies and separating market segments. Authorities also aim to expand productive finance for innovative companies, including raising small public offering limits and forming a venture secondary fund worth at least 2 trillion won, while stepping up enforcement against unfair trading.

Korea Exchange holds meeting with firms included in Korea Value-up index
The Korea Exchange held a meeting on Dec. 15 with 10 listed companies included in the Korea Value-up index, chaired by Chairman Eunbo Jeong. The meeting followed the index setting a new record high. As of Dec. 14, 65 of the 100 index constituents had completed disclosures of corporate value enhancement plans. Jeong said net asset value for 13 related ETPs exceeded 1 trillion won by end-November and foreign trading share rose to 24.8 percent.
