Disney Plus beta tests AI search using natural language and voice
Disney Plus is testing a new AI feature that recommends films and series using natural-language search, voice queries and recommendation prompts. The limited beta is available to selected subscribers, The Verge reported. Disney said the tool is designed to surface content that fits the moment rather than relying mainly on viewing history. Disney also reaffirmed plans to make Disney Plus the company’s digital hub and is rolling out an AI-assisted interactive search on ESPN.

Disney to launch beta AI TV ad creation tool in July, targeting small advertisers
Disney plans to launch a beta version of an AI-based TV ad creation tool in July, Business Insider reported. Adam Smith, Disney Entertainment and ESPN\'s chief product and technology officer, shared the timeline at an internal product meeting, the report said. Disney plans to offer the tool through its self-service ad platform. It targets small advertisers without video assets and supports connected TV ad creation and customization.

Disney+ expands live content partnership with Korean eSports association
Disney+ said on Sunday it will strengthen live eSports broadcasts through a strategic partnership with the Korea eSports Association (KeSPA). The service will globally livestream the national team event Esports Championships Asia Jinju 2026, held from April 24 for four days in Jinju, South Korea. It will exclusively livestream four titles and act as an official broadcaster for two more. Additional exclusive live streams are planned for later this year.
