Disney to launch beta AI TV ad creation tool in July, targeting small advertisers
Disney plans to launch a beta version of an AI-based TV ad creation tool in July, Business Insider reported. Adam Smith, Disney Entertainment and ESPN\'s chief product and technology officer, shared the timeline at an internal product meeting, the report said. Disney plans to offer the tool through its self-service ad platform. It targets small advertisers without video assets and supports connected TV ad creation and customization.

Disney+ expands live content partnership with Korean eSports association
Disney+ said on Sunday it will strengthen live eSports broadcasts through a strategic partnership with the Korea eSports Association (KeSPA). The service will globally livestream the national team event Esports Championships Asia Jinju 2026, held from April 24 for four days in Jinju, South Korea. It will exclusively livestream four titles and act as an official broadcaster for two more. Additional exclusive live streams are planned for later this year.

Major OTT platforms step up short-form push as Disney+ launches TikTok-like feed
Disney+ is launching a TikTok- and Instagram Reels-like short-form video feed, Verts, for U.S. users on its mobile app, TechCrunch reported. The feed offers short edits of film and TV scenes, allowing users to browse, add titles to a wishlist or watch right away. Disney said it will expand Verts to include creator content and other storytelling formats. Disney and Netflix are strengthening short-form offerings to target mobile viewers.
