Disney+ said on Sunday it will strengthen live eSports broadcasts through a strategic partnership with the Korea eSports Association (KeSPA).

Disney+ will globally livestream the national team event Esports Championships Asia Jinju 2026, which runs for four days from April 24 at the Jinju Indoor Gymnasium in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province. Launched in 2021 as a South Korea-China-Japan eSports competition and expanded to Asia from last year, the event will feature seven countries this year: South Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and Mongolia.

Among six official titles, Disney+ will exclusively livestream four globally: Street Fighter 6, The King of Fighters XV, Tekken 8 and the eFootball series. It will take part as an official broadcaster for two titles, Battlegrounds Mobile and Eternal Return, showing all matches. Disney's sports brand ESPN will also appear across the live broadcast feed, and it is expected to provide a differentiated viewing experience.

In the second half of the year, Disney+ will also offer exclusive live streams of the 2026 LoL KeSPA CUP and the national team send-off ceremony and evaluation matches for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

Kim So-yeon (김소연), head of Disney Korea, said, "It is meaningful that we can present a wider variety of vivid eSports matches on Disney+ throughout this year." She added, "We hope that this expanded collaboration will serve as an opportunity to more broadly promote the value of Korea's eSports content and contribute to injecting positive energy into the eSports industry ecosystem."
