AWS to raise prices 20 percent for AI cloud GPU reservation service
Amazon Web Services will raise prices by about 20 percent from July for EC2 Capacity Blocks for ML, a core AI cloud product, Business Insider reported on Friday. AWS raised prices for the product by about 15 percent in January. The service lets companies reserve GPUs in advance to keep workloads from being interrupted and is used for large AI projects. Price increases are spreading across big tech, with high-bandwidth memory supply shortages cited.
