Quick commerce battle expands from delivery apps to hypermarkets and SSM
Competition in South Korea\'s quick commerce market is widening beyond delivery apps as e-commerce companies and corporate supermarkets (SSM) join the fray, industry sources said. With delivery times shrinking to around an hour, firms with dense urban store networks are gaining an advantage by using existing outlets as logistics hubs. The market is projected to grow from about 1.2 trillion won last year to about 5.9 trillion won by 2030, the report said.

Kurly opens Kurly Now Seocho store, one-hour delivery in Seocho, Bangbae and Banpo
Kurly said on Monday it has opened the Kurly Now Seocho store, its third outlet after DMC and Dogok. The company said it decided to expand the service based on consumer response in previously opened areas. The Seocho store stocks about 6,000 items including fresh food, snacks, meal kits, luxury and indie beauty products, bakery goods, desserts and household items. Kurly will start on-demand delivery in parts of Seocho-gu from Monday.

Kakao Healthcare partners with Pap Gym on AI health management
Kakao Healthcare said on Tuesday it signed a business agreement with premium fitness company Pap Gym to cooperate on connected health business. The companies plan to combine AI-based health management solutions with training services. Employees including Kakao Healthcare medical staff and Pap Gym trainers, nutritionists and physical therapists will develop the health management solution. They plan to pursue various businesses targeting hospitals and general users.
