Ditonic designated as excellent specialized research service provider by science ministry
AI platform company Ditonic said on Tuesday it has been designated as a 2026 “excellent specialized research service provider” in the commissioned research category by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT. The ministry selects providers each year after evaluating research and development and customer-oriented service capabilities. Six companies were selected this year, including three in commissioned research. Ditonic said the designation recognizes its ability to provide tailored technologies and services by studying industry characteristics and customer work practices.

Ditonic to build \'AI city\' in Cheonan, Asan
AI platform company Ditonic said on Sunday it was finally selected for the \'AI-specialised pilot city\' project overseen by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, working with Cheonan and Asan and major AI companies. Ditonic said it will standardise city data and convert it into formats usable by AI to build an operational foundation for urban AI services. It plans to link participating firms’ AI technologies and services on a single platform.

Ditonic to work with LIG D&A on software-defined defense technology
AI platform company Ditonic said on June 1 it will work with defense company LIG D&A to build an AI-based software-defined defense operating environment. The companies will apply Ditonic’s AI OS technology to LIG D&A’s defense-domain expertise, focusing on combat management systems and broader C5I systems. Ditonic said its D.Hub platform will serve as LIG D&A’s L-NODE engine, supporting cloud-native operational continuity in an air-gapped environment.
