AI platform company Ditonic said on June 1 it will work with defense company LIG D&A (LIG Defense&Aerospace) to build an AI-based software-defined defense operating environment.

The agreement focuses on applying Ditonic’s AI OS technology to LIG D&A’s defense-domain knowledge to lead CMS (Combat Management System) and, further, C5I (Command·Control·Communication·Computer·Cyber Security and Intelligence) systems.

For the partnership, Ditonic upgraded operating capabilities for its proprietary AI platform, D.Hub. D.Hub performs processes from data collection, classification, processing and analysis. It incorporates agentic AI technology to establish plans optimized for objectives and carry out tasks accordingly, serving as an AI operating system.

The company stressed it has implemented the concept of a decision intelligence platform, drawing attention in the global defense market, with domestic proprietary technology.

D.Hub will be installed as the core engine of LIG D&A’s defense AI brand, L-NODE, supporting operational continuity based on a cloud-native structure even in an air-gapped environment that is completely cut off from external networks due to security issues.

Ditonic said the partnership will implement key technologies within the L-NODE platform, including ontology-based tactical intelligence that contextualizes complex battlefield situations so AI can read them; hybrid RAG that turns vast military tactical doctrine into a knowledge graph and clearly infers causal relationships between data even in complex operational situations; Geo-Hiker, a high-speed computing engine for large-scale spatiotemporal data that rapidly analyzes battlefield data that changes by the second; and MAS (Multi-Agent System), in which agents responsible for missions such as detection, analysis, response and engagement collaborate to complete complex missions.

Ditonic CEO Yong-joo Jeon (전용주) said, "As the global defense AI market is being reshaped around a small number of big tech companies, we have laid the groundwork for Korea to build a sovereign defense AI system based on independent technology by adding Ditonic’s AI platform technology to LIG D&A’s global defense competitiveness."
