Hoskinson says Cardano buzz tied to token price; hard fork on schedule
Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, said social media interest around the project appears closely linked to its token’s price. He responded on X to community comments that there were no recent catalysts for a rise, after a post by community member Adam Dean. ADA has recently climbed, with a weekly gain of 28.63 percent. Intersect said it is pushing ahead with the Dijkstra hard fork on an agreed timetable, while the Haskell node team maintains its 2026 target.

Cardano to pursue two-stage Dijkstra upgrade through 2027 to boost throughput and speed finality
Cardano will pursue its Dijkstra network upgrade in two stages through 2027. The first phase focuses on expanding network throughput, while the second aims to shorten transaction finality times. The roadmap, disclosed via an Intersect document, targets code completion of Ouroboros Linear Leios in the fourth quarter of 2026 and introduction of Ouroboros Peras in the second quarter of 2027. A public testnet called Musashi Dojo is being used for validation.

Cardano speeds up transition to Dijkstra, enters Van Rossum hard fork process
Cardano has submitted a governance proposal to start the Van Rossum hard fork on its mainnet, a step toward moving into the Dijkstra era. Van Rossum is a hard fork within the same era that introduces some new features and lays groundwork for Dijkstra, which ultimately brings Leios to the Cardano mainnet. The process follows testing on preview and preproduction networks and includes a Plutus cost model parameter update.
