K-AI chips put to the test as global AI startups step up push into South Korea
South Korean neural processing unit makers are teaming up with domestic cloud companies to target the AI inference market, testing whether they can secure a foothold beyond Nvidia’s barriers. Samsung SDS launched an NPU-as-a-service offering on its Samsung Cloud Platform based on FuriosaAI’s second-generation chip. Rebellions is also partnering with KT Cloud and Gabia. Foreign AI startups are stepping up moves into Korea, including Genspark and China’s Kling AI.

Miso Information Technology partners with LangGenius to accelerate AI agent business
Miso Information Technology said on Tuesday it signed a service partnership and strategic memorandum of understanding with LangGenius, the developer of the open-source generative AI application development platform Dify. The company said the cooperation will accelerate its AI agent business across industries including healthcare and manufacturing. The two companies plan to work on building and operating Dify-based AI agents, developing industry-specific AI services, joint marketing, and setting up training and technical support.

SK Broadband to train all employees as AI specialists
SK Broadband said on Sunday it has set its 2026 organisational culture keywords as \"Working with AI\" and \"Dynamic SKB\" and will strengthen capabilities to turn all employees into AI specialists. The company said it will treat this year as the first year of \"AI transformation\" innovation, linking AI adoption to work results. It will run the \"AI Agent Lab\" training programme and aims to raise \"AI performers\" to 400 employees by October.
