SK Broadband said on Sunday it has set its 2026 organisational culture keywords as "Working with AI" and "Dynamic SKB" and will strengthen capabilities to turn all employees into AI specialists.
SK Broadband is pursuing a strategy to make this year the first year of "AI transformation (AX) innovation" that links basic AI adoption capabilities to tangible work results. Last year, it introduced an AI level certification system and ran the voluntary study group "AI Study Mate".
SK Broadband will run the AI intensive training programme "AI Agent Lab" for all employees from March to October this year. It aims to expand the share of employees with intermediate or higher skills, called "AI performers", from about 9 percent to 20 percent, or 400 people. The company plans for all employees to complete the beginner course, "AI runner", by the end of this year to spread a companywide culture of AI use.
The goal is for the 400 programme graduates to develop and apply AI agents in their own work areas, producing at least 400 customised AI work tools in-house. The curriculum consists of A.Biz 2.0 for implementing in-house work-specific agents, AI agents using the no-code-based Dify, and an integrated AI work platform based on Gemini Enterprise.
SK Broadband will make mandatory tailored AI leadership courses by job level, from new hires to executives and team leaders, and will also hold forums for regional sites. It plans to share best practices in real time by advancing the "AI certification system", holding companywide "can meetings" and visualising the status of AI use.
Min Boo-sik (민부식), head of SK Broadband's corporate culture centre, said, "If 25 was the process of becoming familiar with AI, 26 will be the year when all members become AI specialists and AI becomes the standard way of working." He added, "We will establish a culture in which employees develop AI agents themselves to innovate productivity and create tangible business value."
