BMW pushes entry-level 1 Series electric car launch in 2028 to target young buyers
BMW plans to revive its entry-level hatchback 1 Series as an electric vehicle for launch in 2028, aiming to attract younger consumers with a lower-priced model while maintaining its premium brand image. The next-generation 1 Series is expected to come in electric and hybrid versions and use the Neue Klasse platform while retaining the hatchback shape.
