Kakao Entertainment to merge KakaoPage and KakaoWebtoon this year, shifting to one platform
Kakao Entertainment said it will merge KakaoPage and KakaoWebtoon and reorganise its story business around a single platform centred on KakaoPage. The company plans to brief users of both services on Sept. 29 on the integration method and timeline and complete the platform merger within the year. The unified platform will combine content, user data and operations, including about 16,000 original story IPs, usage base and subscription patterns.
