Databricks annualised revenue tops $7 billion

Databricks said on Thursday its annualised revenue had exceeded $7 billion. The company said it grew by more than 80 percent in the second quarter from a year earlier and completed a $5 billion strategic investment round that valued it at $190 billion. Databricks said it will use the funds to accelerate innovation in core AI products including Lakebase, Genie and Unity AI Gateway. Coatue led the round, with Blackstone, MGX and T. Rowe Price Associates participating.

Executives at digital-native firms most frequently cited embedding AI at scale across core business processes as a top investment priority. The report distinguishes broad deployment from full operational embedding, including use by more than 100 users under SLAs with continuous monitoring.
