Uber cuts work time by 80 percent with AI, investment payoff unclear

Artificial intelligence tools are spreading rapidly across Uber’s internal work, from Q&A to customer support and sales preparation, former employees said. DoorDash, Uber Eats and Instacart battle heats up over Costco delivery

Costco has expanded delivery services through DoorDash and Uber Eats, intensifying competition in the U.S. grocery delivery market and adding pressure on Instacart, which has partnered with Costco since 2017. Costco launched same-day delivery via DoorDash for all U.S. stores and expanded Uber Eats coverage to 47 states. Uber to let parents view live video during teen rides

Uber will add a feature to teen accounts that lets parents or guardians briefly view live video from a driver’s smartphone front camera during a ride. The feature requires driver consent and notifies the teen and the driver when video is being viewed. Uber said access is limited to the linked parent or guardian and stops automatically at the end of the trip. It said encrypted recordings are kept and deleted after 14 days unless needed for safety investigations.
