Teen-founded U.S. defense startup Mach Industries valuation quadruples in a year
U.S. defense technology startup Mach Industries raised $300 million in a Series C round, valuing the company at $1.8 billion. TechCrunch reported the valuation is nearly four times higher than a year ago, after a $100 million raise in June 2025 at a $470 million valuation. The round was led by Infinite Capital and Ribbit Capital. Mach is developing five autonomous aircraft and plans to start producing at least three next year.

SKT secures 100 percent stake in SKB, folds unit into wholly owned subsidiary
SK Telecom has folded SK Broadband into a wholly owned subsidiary after securing a 100 percent stake through a comprehensive share swap, a filing showed. SKT previously held 99.24 percent and acquired the remaining 3,039,090 common shares. Share buyback rights exercised by SKB shareholders amounted to 27,408 common shares worth 411,990,000 won, which were cancelled. SKT said it expects improved decision-making and a more efficient management system.

Realtime AI multilingual service to shift to global K-media
DigitalToday is launching a system to publish in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese simultaneously as it seeks to shift to global K-media. Chief Executive Kim Seong-hyeon (김성현) outlined the plan at a company event in Seoul, saying a Korean article can be released in multiple languages within 10 minutes. The outlet said its AI news editing system has expanded output and traffic, and it is also automating articles based on DART disclosures.
