Anthropic in talks to buy developer tools startup Stainless
Anthropic is in talks to acquire developer tools startup Stainless for at least $300 million, The Information reported, citing a person familiar with the matter. Stainless provides software that uses AI to automatically generate SDKs that help developers access AI model APIs for customers including Anthropic, OpenAI and Google. The talks are not final and terms could change, the report said. It added that Anthropic may pay part of the purchase price in its own stock.

Anthropic expands vertical AI strategy with acquisition of AI biotech startup Coefficient Bio
Anthropic has acquired AI biotech startup Coefficient Bio in a deal worth about $400 million, The Information reported, citing sources. Coefficient Bio’s team will join Anthropic’s healthcare and life sciences group, which develops tools for biotech workflows from drug discovery to clinical commercialisation. Founded last fall, the startup built a platform for AI-driven drug R&D planning, clinical regulatory strategy management and candidate discovery.
