OpenAI holds first exec summit in South Korea, moves to expand enterprise business
OpenAI held its first corporate leadership event in South Korea on May 27, bringing together about 130 business and technology executives from major local companies to discuss ways to apply enterprise AI, the company said on May 29. Executives including Jason Kwon, Ashley Kramer and OpenAI Korea head Kyung-hoon Kim attended. OpenAI said weekly active users of ChatGPT Codex in South Korea were up tenfold from early this year.

OpenAI CSO says GTAC broader than Anthropic\'s Glasswing, confirms South Korea and Japan as partners
OpenAI has confirmed South Korea and Japan as its first Asian partners for its government cyber trusted access programme GTAC, making them its third global partners after the United States and Canada. Jason Kwon (권) said GTAC offers broader access than Anthropic’s Glasswing and aims to equip trusted defenders with powerful AI tools. OpenAI also detailed plans for local rollout, partnerships and options to address data security concerns.

Google expands Circle to Search to check AI image creation and edit history
Google is expanding its ability to identify AI-generated or AI-edited images across Android’s Circle to Search, Google Lens, Chrome and Search, using its SynthID watermarking technology. The company said the feature can go beyond simple detection and, in some cases, show an image’s history, such as being shot on a Pixel phone and edited with AI tools in Google Photos. Google said accuracy and history depth can vary, and watermarking is not foolproof.
