NHN and Neowiz hold up in Q1 on web board games
NHN and Neowiz relied on web board games in the first quarter as the impact from major new releases was limited. NHN shifts game strategy to Japan, targets growth in cloud, payments and defense
NHN is adjusting its game business strategy to target Japan and laid out plans to secure new growth engines in cloud, payments and defense. CEO Jung Woo-jin said the company is preparing a strategy change and pursuing contracts with well-known IPs in Japan and projects under code names. NHN Cloud began operating water-cooled B200 GPUs at its Seoul Yangpyeong region and expects related revenue from the second quarter.

Ridi\'s 2025 revenue rises 7 percent to 251.6 billion won
Content platform company Ridi said on Tuesday its 2025 consolidated revenue rose 7 percent from a year earlier to 251.6 billion won. It posted an operating loss of 26.2 billion won, citing the impact of expanded new investment including in its short-drama platform. Ridi said comic-genre revenue rose more than 30 percent, while global webtoon service Manta adopted a hybrid model and expanded content. It also launched short-drama platform Kanta.
