Central Radio Management Office to hold global spectrum management forum on AI and 6G era
South Korea’s Central Radio Management Office will hold the Global Spectrum Management Forum 2026 on Sept. 1 under the theme of future spectrum management strategies to respond to a rapidly changing radio environment and new threats. The sixth annual forum will bring together overseas spectrum regulators, domestic related agencies and experts from industry and academia to share spectrum policies and technologies and promote international cooperation. Sessions will cover policy and regulatory shifts, AI-based monitoring and next-generation wireless ecosystems, and responses to new spectrum threats and complex disasters.

MSIT breaks ground on Songpa ICT security cluster to concentrate radio wave and information security agencies
South Korea will develop the Central Radio Management Office site in Seoul’s Songpa district into an ICT security cluster bringing together radio wave and information security agencies and private facilities. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Asset Management Corp held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project’s first phase on Aug. 25. Phase one will build a new Central Radio Management Office building and a radio wave testing facility, with completion targeted for the first half of 2029.

Aton signs pact with KISA to support malicious text pre-blocking solution
Aton said on Tuesday it signed a business agreement with the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) as a specialist provider of a malicious text pre-blocking system solution. Under the pact, Aton will supply pre-blocking systems to internet messaging service providers and issue introduction confirmation documents required to register as a value-added telecommunications service provider. Aton and KISA will also share threat information and establish joint response processes.
