Chance to redesign South Korea semiconductor strategy now, clean chip \'golden time\'
A Carnegie Endowment for International Peace fellow said South Korea has a rare chance to jointly design power generation, transmission, storage and industrial facilities as it makes long-term decisions on where to locate semiconductor, AI and data centre infrastructure. Darcie Draudt-Vejares said competitiveness now depends on access to stable, affordable low-carbon power, amid buyer pressure for emissions cuts and rising electricity demand driven by AI expansion.
