Clay raises $115 million for B2B sales and marketing AI, valuation more than doubles in a year
B2B sales and marketing AI startup Clay has raised $115 million and will be valued at $7.1 billion, the New York Times reported. The round was led by Wellington Management, with Sequoia Capital, a16z Perennial, DST Global and Alphabet’s CapitalG also participating. Clay has focused on autonomous AI agents over the past year. CEO Karim Amin said annualised revenue this quarter will reach about $200 million.

Google CEO says AI shift expands startup investment opportunities
Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the shift to artificial intelligence has increased opportunities to invest in startups, CNBC reported. Speaking in a conversation with Stripe co-founder John Collison, he said AI has created more chances to deploy capital effectively and that Google is doing so. Alphabet invests through GV and CapitalG and has expanded large direct investments. He cited SpaceX, Anthropic, Stripe and Waymo as examples.

Corporate ID verification startup Duna raises 30 million euros
Duna, a corporate identity (ID) verification startup founded by former Stripe employees, has raised 30 million euros in a Series A funding round, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 4 local time. Alphabet growth fund CapitalG led the round, joined by senior executives from Stripe and Adyen as angel investors. Duna offers tools that help fintech firms onboard corporate clients more efficiently and aims to build global trust infrastructure to reuse verification data across platforms.
