Duna, a corporate identity (ID) verification startup founded by former Stripe employees, has raised a 30 million euro Series A round, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 4 local time.

Alphabet growth fund CapitalG led the investment. Senior executives from Stripe and Adyen also took part. They included Stripe Chief Operating Officer Michael Cuggan, former Chief Technology Officer David Singleton and former COO Claire Hughes Johnson as angel investors. Investors also included Adyen Chief Risk and Compliance Officer Mariette Swart and Chief Financial Officer Ethan Tandowsky.

Duna provides a solution that helps fintech companies onboard corporate clients more efficiently. Co-founder Douwe van Lanscot told TechCrunch in an interview, "It is unlikely that companies like Stripe or Adyen will jump into this market themselves. Each company needs finely tailored configurations." He said, "Duna aims to build a global trust infrastructure that enables companies to reuse existing verification data across multiple platforms."
