Woori Financial first-half net profit 1.61 trillion won, non-bank contribution rises to 22.3%
Woori Financial Group posted first-half net profit attributable to owners of the parent of 1.609 trillion won, up 3.7% from a year earlier, helped by higher capital markets fee income and the effect of consolidating an insurer. Second-quarter profit rose 66.4% from the previous quarter to 1.005 trillion won. Non-bank units’ share of group profit rose to 22.3%. The group announced a 220 won per share cash dividend for the second quarter.

Volkswagen unveils branded smart e-bike with rear camera
Volkswagen has unveiled a branded electric bicycle developed with premium bike maker n+ that applies car-style safety technology. The e-bike features a high-resolution rear camera linked to a handlebar display, radar-based blind-spot warnings and lighting that signals braking and turns. Volkswagen also introduced a Bluetooth-connected smart helmet and smart glasses that display navigation, warnings and ride data. The company presented the launch as part of a push into personal mobility.

UBS downgrades ServiceNow to neutral, citing wavering confidence in AI-era advantage
UBS on Thursday downgraded enterprise software company ServiceNow to neutral from buy and cut its price target to $100 from $170. Analyst Karl Keirstead said UBS had kept ServiceNow as its only buy-rated application software stock on the view it was better positioned than rivals in the AI era, but that conviction has weakened and instances of non-AI software budget pressure are increasing. UBS also flagged three specific concerns raised in customer discussions.
