Woori Bank to create financial consumer protection committee on board
Woori Bank said on Wednesday it will establish a Financial Consumer Protection Committee within its board to make consumer protection a core management value. It said the move is aimed at preemptively implementing the Financial Supervisory Service\'s model practices on financial consumer protection governance and embedding protection across management. The committee will be set up on March 20, meet at least twice a year and review key strategies, policies and rule changes.

Woori Financial shifts consumer protection to preventive system
Woori Financial Group said on Tuesday it held a group financial consumer protection council meeting at its headquarters a day earlier and decided to pursue a shift to a prevention-focused consumer protection system as its 2026 strategy. It aims to move away from post-incident responses by managing risk factors in advance across the design, sale and operation of financial products. Twelve consumer protection chiefs from the group and subsidiaries attended.

iM Financial holds rally to pledge management goals and consumer protection
iM Financial Group said it held a 2026 rally on Jan. 26 at its iM Financial Center in central Seoul, attended by CEOs and executives of all affiliates, to pledge the achievement of management performance targets and the practice of financial consumer protection. Affiliate CEOs shared strategic directions, including ways to boost profits through stronger market competitiveness and to improve efficiency through cost reductions. The group also announced a new consumer protection charter and governance plans.
