iM Financial Group said on Jan. 27 it held a rally on Jan. 26 at its iM Financial Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, attended by CEOs and executives from all affiliates, to pledge the achievement of 2026 management performance results and the practice of financial consumer protection.

The event was arranged to establish a financial consumer-centred management system and to pledge, internally and externally, a strong commitment to practising financial consumer protection.

Each affiliate CEO shared specific strategic directions for achieving 2026 management goals. They presented ways to increase profits by strengthening market competitiveness, along with strategic cost-cutting and efficiency plans to focus on fundamentals.

At the event, iM Financial elevated financial consumer protection to a core group agenda. Park Eun-sook (박은숙), an executive director and the group CCO in charge of financial consumer protection, emphasised: "Financial performance is sustainable only when it is premised on strong consumer protection and the resulting deep trust of customers."

iM Financial set financial consumer protection as a core principle for sustainable growth and proclaimed a newly enacted financial consumer protection charter. It plans to build consistent group-level governance centred on a recently established dedicated group consumer protection organisation and to expand customer-centred management across all affiliates.

It also plans to overhaul its management system to strictly reflect consumer protection factors throughout the entire process from product planning to sales and after-sales management, and to advance monitoring and management systems across affiliates.

Hwang Byung-woo (황병우), chairman of iM Financial, said: "Financial consumer protection is the root that underpins trust in financial companies and a core standard that creates performance." He added: "We will prove consumer protection through practice, not slogans, to strengthen customer rights and interests and responsible management."
